Unlike our standard Experience Capture system used at established bungy operations, this event was powered entirely by our mobile-first Guide App. Installed on smartphones, the app allowed on-site hosts to capture personalised, host-driven content for each jumper, from nervous anticipation to post-jump exhilaration. The result was a narrative-driven format that connected authentically with social media users and encouraged sharing.
Skippers Canyon is a rugged and historic gorge carved by the Shotover River. Accessible only via Skippers Road – an unsealed, narrow route with steep drops and a rich gold mining history – the canyon offers a spectacular backdrop for adventure experiences.

Perched high above the canyon floor, a stationary phone mounted on the bridge captured wide-angle footage of each leap, perfectly framing the dramatic landscape and rushing Shotover River below. Meanwhile, on-site hosts used mobile phones to film every candid moment – from pre-jump jitters to post-jump whoops of adrenaline. The Guide App brought it all together, seamlessly stitching the footage and instantly uploading personalised video packages and images to each customer’s EpicShot portal. The result? A story-first memento ready for instant viewing and effortless sharing across social platforms, captured in an personal and candid format that resonated with social media viewers.

Thanks to Starlink connectivity kindly provided by Light Speed, content delivery remained smooth and uninterrupted, even in this remote canyon setting.
EpicShot’s Guide App has once again proven it’s ready for any setting – even at a moment’s notice. The Guide App is perfect for tourism operators seeking an agile, scalable, and social-ready solution that allows customers to relive their experiences again and again.
